But I think we should hear it for what it is. It is like transcendental child abuse. If God can do that, then what kind of a God as we talking about? I really think we should ask the question again of the character of God. If God is like that, we have sinned, and since we are inadequate people to be punished, God substitutes for us his own son. Then of course we love that son, but we should hate that father. We really should.
